if you still have Windows Messenger running on your Xp OS, but you don´t really use it, cause you have Windows Live Messenger too, then this is an easy way to uninstall it :
1) Click on Start, followed by Run
2) Type the following (or cut and paste it) into the Run line
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

In difficult times you find great solutions…, I wasn´t having free space on my hard disk, and I tried Foxit reader as my pdf reader, is a free, small(just 2.55Mb against 20Mb of Adobe) and fast tool for reading pdf documents.
